Did you buy your talus at scat bikes in portsmouth? Jarrod, I could get you going son just take some time off from bar hopping. :P Freedom is definitely my favorite trail in the area. If you do all the loops it is right around 20 miles. D and E loops are hard, C has all the all mountain stuff on it.

I work part time at Scat. We are meeting at the bike shop tomorrow at 8a.m. Figured it would be okay that early due to the time switch. You could probably get a ride with someone to save on gas to make the trip to most likely Freedom. We usually return around noon or 1.

60 in a week is not bad at all starting out.

I used to ride unicycles in first landing state park ( like actually, hills/ trials) and it was great fun.

There is a decent trail in Newport News by Riverside.

Nothing fancy, it's an old dirt road used to access the train tracks. People road it for years but only in the last 4 or 5 did it become a legitmate trail.

I haven't been bar-hoppin'. Saving money for snowboarding/ITR build and now a bike.

Ha. This explains why Zak asked me if you went.

Awesome place by the way. The few people we talked to, they were friendly. I had a blast and I'm sure they did as well.

I need a bike now. Pref a 19/19.5" 29'r.
