Wash with diswashing soap to strip any previous wax off, then use Meguiars NXT.

I use to use Zymol but now I use Mothers paste wax. Paste wax lasts longer nad gives a deeper shine!

I've tried everything and detailed lots of cars... the key to shine is paint prep. If the prep is good any wax will look killer. Even brand new cars need to be cleaned properly and waxed. Here's what you should do....

1. Wash the car w/ Dawn dish soap to strip any old polish/wax.
2. Clay bar the car (you can get the Mother's kit locally or get some blue magic) You don't need to use the mother's detailing spray, just a bottle of soapy water to lube the surface. The clay takes out ALL surface impurities that waxing etc. can't it's like using a rubbing compound but w/ out the surface scratches and having to buff it back.
3. Use 3m (or similar) SMR (swirl mark remover) to cut down on the majority of yoru swirl marks.
4. Now you have a few options...
4a. Use a traditional polish then wax it and buff it w/ a foam pad for shine.
4b. Use the new Meguiars NXT once and buff it! This is by far the best product I've ever used. The shine is amazing, the ease of application is supurb, and it provides a Zaino quality shine but w/ out the cost and it's available locally. It's the first wax/polish that's ever made my yellow car look truly wet. BTW it's actually a synthetic wax and does great.

Hope all this helps. It's a fiarly lengthy process, and can take the better part of an afternoon. BUT, after you've done it the car will look stunning and after you wash it you can just use some Meguiar's quikdetailer or NXT quick wax to bring back the just waxed shine.
