you go from paying somebody to put a part in that you just paid for. To buying a part and swapping it yourself.

I might be interested in giving you a test ECU and seeing how you do on socketing it. How much you think you would charge for that.

I was gonna take it to a TV Repair shop. Figured they would only charge me like $30 bucks or so.

for sure! I just moved my 200lb 36" tuber! Now THAT was a pia!

I understand the concept of changing out the entire mainboard, but why do that if it's a $2 part that's bad. I did some research on the problem and that seems to be the problem. I will send a P.M to one of you guys next week and we can discuss this further. The TV is already pulled apart. only thing left to do is pull the mainboard. Thanks for the response.

why dont you remove the main board then. You can bring it to me, and I can remove and test the relay that you suspect is bad.

I would suggest formula. I dont want to mess up your mainboard.
