The few people I know that work for them think it's ok. They are six figure employees that have to dress business casual. Decent pay for what they do. EDS is a very large company with a lot of different skill sets. You gotta be more specific.

I know a few people that work there too, it seems to depends on where you work as your opinion. Just like with any company. There's always a better or worse position no matter where you go, its how much they want to pay you and how much bullshit you can put up with that should be your determining factor.

I work for EDS.. Nothing but good things to say about that company.

Like DoingOK says you can make six figures if you play your cards right, don't matter where you start if you are hard worker it will pay off no matter where you go.

Everyone has to start from the bottom and yes the HD is the bottom (unless you know someone and have X amount of years experience)... but I highly recommend it.

PM me if you want anymore details.

I know they have a lot of positions for Systems Administrator in Norfolk and up here in the NoVA are, particularly Quantico. That may be a new contract. Not sure. A clearance is required though.

i work for them at little creek, but not at the helpdesk. it really depends on your skill set and what you want to do. the helpdesk is the bottom rung, you are on the phone all day talking to pissed off Customers, going through the motions. If you can, try to get at least a Tier 2 job, and stay away from the helpdesk.
