PS. Houses any where near civilization in both suffolk and NC will run you just about as much as va beach and it's surrounding areas. I'll spend the few k extra not to live in the middle of no where.

 

It's just hard for me cause I have a 125lb Rottweiler and getting rid of her to move into a certain place is not an option, but I've found numerous places for rent that will let us have here there.

Quite frankly when I move out I'll probably rent my first year or two, save up and establish some more credit. It's hard seeing the bubble popping. I live in Bayview (not ghetto Ocean View) in a 2500sq foot house, 4 bd, 2 baths, deck, pool, etc sitting on probably 2 1/2 lots (it's a corner lot). Now my dad added part of a deck, privacy fence, pool, etc.

He bought the house 6-7 years ago for 91K. Did quite a few things to it. Now every nail they put in those 1 million dollar homes in OV raises the price of our house up. He could easily sell this house for close to 300K. There have been 3 houses by me that are much smaller inside/outside/yard wise that have sold for 250K plus. They also added a completely new street in our neighborhood and put 450K houses on that. It's all in where you live.

 

My cousin just bought a house in Moyock (9 miles across the state line) on 2 acres, 3 br 2.5 ba, with a 2 car garage for 210k.

 

I just bought a townhome/condo in the Mt. Trashmore area for 250k its 1625 sq ft, and pretty nice. attatched garage and all.
