avoid traffic to Ptwon
I'm looking to rent a place that is conducive to traffic to portsmouth. I want to live in a decent area/neighborhood in va beach or chesapeake (maybe norfolk). I have an extreme hate for traffic, so my new job at the norfolk naval shipyard (portsmouth) is a pretty unpleasant drive because of the downtown tunnel. For anyone that goes this way around 640-710am and back 330-400p, where can I live that will get me to work in 25min or less? or am i just stuck in 40min+ traffic everywhere(vb, chpk)? Currently I live by Salem High and it takes about 40 min each way given the traffic (i usually drive 10mph+ over the limit in given areas so i dont drive like a grandma).

Look for rooms for rent off indian river as anything on that side is gonna leave you fighting downtown/midtown tunnel traffic.
How much are you tring to spend may help too.

I live in South Norfolk(Chesapeake), right by the dwntn tunnel and I dont even take that shit...I go 464 to Military Hwy to G. Washington HWY to NNSY...or you can ride out 64 which prob be quicker for you and take the Portsmouth exit I think it i...before the Deep Creek exit, and that puts you right onto G. Washington HWY...both ways is roughly 20-25 mins for me. Or ya you can move if you want somewhere closer i guess...if this even helped out for you at all?
