Best bank to get a loan through
Im in a shitty situation. My prelude blew its engine and I owe about $4500 on it. I need to figure out the best bank to get approved at for the pay off. Im tired of paying full coverage on a car I dont drive. By credit score is decent but I applied at Langley FCU and they said my collateral isnt sufficient and I dont have enough income(~$1600/month take home). So where do you guys think is a good place to get a loan at? Also, NFCU is a good place, but I cant become a member there.
Thanks
Thanks

Replacing the engine would be cheaper than getting another loan and paying interest or am I wrong?

I know replacing the engine would be a good idea, but I dont really have the funds to do that right now. Even if i do decide to keep it, I wanna get rid of the full coverage insurance and have the title in my hand. Its a 99 by the way, its got around 150k on it, JUST(within like 1000 miles) got the transmission freshly rebuilt(~$1600) and brand new nittos all the way around(~$400)

Well if you had good credit you wouldn't be asking this question and since a credit union wouldn't loan you $4500 without colateral, your options are looking pretty limited. You may have to look into third party financial services like American General or other places like them. You'll get a loan, but your interest rate will be ridiculous and you would save more money just paying the insurance premium difference.
Your best bet is to have an "accident" with the car since you already have full coverage. Have a wiring mishap that leads to a fire, drive it into a tree fast enough to total it, or drive it into a body of water. No more worries.

You have a mini-DOHC on the way?
I work nights, but I'm free saturday nights... we needs to get some Saturday 15MoC action going.
