Fuck them... they ruined a set of my CCWs when they tried to blast the old powder off w/ soemthing too aggressive... they they told me the best they could do was give me my money back.

My valve covers, heat shields and air intake housing lid (don't know if they'll be able to do it, just noticed a permanent gasket on the inside) will be going to the one in Hopewell tomorrow. Depending on how things go, I might have them redo my headers - it's a shame though, I really liked having blue headers, but it seems only Jet Hot does that.
Or maybe if I can figure out how to get them off the engine without having to remove the engine from the car (which is a prerequisite to my having them redone anyways) I'll have someone make them out of tubular and give Jet Hot a second chance (the guy in Hopewell did say it's harder with cast).

Dumb question: should I also have the insides of my valve covers coated in the thermal dispersant (which is oil shedding) - figure that might keep the valves even better lubricated...maybe?

Hey Cobra, when I dropped my stuff off at Thermaltech we discussed the header coatings. He said the black isn't as durable as the silver, despite being more heat resistant, so that might explain your issues.
