Last night my Cobra was broken into and the headunit was stolen, along with paint damage and interior damage.

They took a sony xav-160 touchscreen dvd player headunit. If anyone sees or hears of someone selling a sony touchscreen please let me know.

If you are on this site, and you took it, consider yourself lucky I didnt catch you, Ive got 2 ar's and a beretta px4 that you would have met, and also said goodbye too.

I'm not sure that applies to a car sitting in your driveway when you're safely in the house. I could be wrong though. Regardless, if you're willing to kill someone over a Sony head unit, that's your deal.

Google says that head unit was <$500 retail (it's no longer made) so I don't think I'd be risking life in jail for a sub-$500 discontinued head unit. I don't think I'm alone in saying that.

Its the principal of being violated in what I thought was a safe place. This isnt the first time a car has been broken into in my apartment complex. And go fuck yourself buddy about insurance fraud. I dont have any aftermarket add ons claimed to insurance so nothing will come of this. The officer that came here and took the statement just came from an exact scenario break in, 2 streets over.

How am I supposed to know what someone inside of my car is doing? How am I supposed to know if hes taking the car, the radio, waiting for me to come to the car to get more than the car, who knows.

If I caught the guy red handed, what am I supposed to do then? Just sit idly by and say, "nah man its cool, I didn't want it anyways."

I more than likely would have just held him at gunpoint till the police arrived. Im more than sure that this person or people is the same that have vandalized my apt complex before.
