Well, it seems to me that it only helps them start messing up the roads more. I think they like doing construction so they can claim oilpans of low cars... That way they can say they're doing something and take cars off the road.

It helps to justify tax money to spend on road improvement projects. When the statistics of number of vehicles are compared to original projections for that roadway, it helps to emphasize the need for roadway improvement funds for that location.

The fact that they are attempting to count the traffic here in VB puzzles me. You want to know how many people drive on the roads? About 10 times the amount that the roads were built for. That's why the interstate becomes a standstill at rush hour. And what new roads do they plan to build? They can't even maintain the shit they've already built. Potholes that will flatten your tires, shitty repair work (spraying asphalt in the cracks), etc.

We actually build em here at my company. Piezo wires, give electrical pulses every time they're run over. If they get run over by two cars at the exact same time, gives a higher voltage so it can count both cars.

What does it do for trailers/semi's? Does it avg out the number of axles going over it or something?
