Re: Dinwitty Drag Strip?
So your car runs 10's or 11's, that's impressive. You'll need a rollbar/cage for that, not just a helmet. And some of the tech inspectors there aren't stupid. They know a general area of what a car should run and will ask you if you have a helmet.

And even if you have an 11 second car, if this is your first time at the track, I'll be impressed if you even crack into the 12s. Track and street are two totally different animals.

Re: Dinwitty Drag Strip?
i got one "free" pass without a helment to see if i broke into the 13s, this is with a damn camaro SS.
after that though, they made sure i had one on when i went down the track,
this is at vmp by the way.

Re: Dinwitty Drag Strip?
I have ran my car at other strips not here in Virginia and have made numerous 11 second passes so its not my first time, but at these tracks they would give you a few "free" passes without a helmet. Even if you had a 11 second car at these tracks they didnt require a cage. But thanks a lot everyone for all of the information! I might check out Richmond since they dont require a cage. I can live with a helmet.
