I'm going to pull my headers and get them fixed... I'd like to have them coated to lower underhood temps while at the track.

Any local shops that do it? So I don't have to ship them out?

You had to bump after only two minutes? Damn Vette owners.

I would have thought you'd buy ceramic coated headers to install in the first place.

No I bought SS headers which don't need to be coated for "normal" driving. But at the track they get very hot and run near the clutch hydraulics which don't like being hot.

Found out that http://www.precision-powder-coat.com/ Does Jet Hot and they're about 2 min from my work.

Brian, call ThermalTech in Hopewell (Dinwiddy area), if not drive something else for a week and send them to HPC. Do not get Jet Hot coatings, IMO they're garbage. I've never seen any problems with HPC or Swain, but I've seen cracking and flaking problems with Jet Hot, and not just one or two isolated incidents. I don't believe the quality is up to par with the bigger dogs. Precision Powder Coating has only been around since 2004, I'm a little wary of that for something as expertise-critical as ceramic coating.

Let us know what you decide to do.

I am getting a set of headers in this week my for Z and would like to get them coated for the same reason also.

Maybe they would cut us a deal for both sets?
