Re: ecu chip and tune?
If you are then you can use a OBD2B P2T ecu. Thats a stock 99-00 Civic Si ECU and I have one. If you want it shoot me a PM with an offer.
Otherwise you can get a OBD1 ecu, preferably a P28, 92-92 Civic EX/Si (wont need any additional modifications for VTEC, etc). Get a conversion harness and your good to go.
If you find a nonVTEC ecu, (IE: P06) you can have them converted to a P28 with minor modification. Here is a list from Hondata about Honda ECU's: http://www.hondata.com/ecus.html
Socketing has to be done to any OBD1 ecu regardless if you want to do any kind of tuning though. Also if you plan on doing any burning fo the chips yourself you will have to invest in some costly hardware from MOATES. You can find their site here http://support.moates.net/
If you need any of this done let me know as I can do any of the chipping/socketing work needed. Unfortunately I am unable to burn a ROM for you as I lack the hardware to so.
However if you decide to go with a Hondata application I can help you out with that.
