Default Fishing Spots

I'm looking for some good spots to go freshwater fishing in the virginia beach area, anyone know any good spots, mainly looking for bass but love catching some kittenfish too. Thanks in advance.

I'd love to hear about some spots too. I grew up fishing for largemouth bass up in Massachusetts and there were lakes EVERYWHERE.

Would love to get back into it down here and I live in VB as well.

One place I know of is Lake Smith. Off of Northampton in VB. I've been paddleboarding there a few times and there are a few different spots where I've seen people fishing from shore.

depending on where you live, buckner farms has a nice size lake that me and some friends go to. we use chicken liver and worms and catch bass and catfish, some decent sized some small. i would love to hear of more places and also different baits, the chicken livers are a bitch to use.

Lake Wright, James or Smith are 'ok'.........nothing spectacular. I asked about boat or shore because to use a boat in any lake in City Limits here the motor must be less than 5hp.

If you're looking to do some real fishing I would try Lake Gaston.
