Ask any drag strip, VIR, Summit Point, etc how much they are charged for insurance and required safety when they rent out their locations. It's not cheap. Do your research first, before trying to gain a rallying posse of unfounded hope.

I agree this is a horrible idea. BUt the insurance is mostly for the tracks employees and owners. Most of the time when you rent a track you sign a waiver that throws there insurance out of the equasion. That way they aren't responsible if someone gets hurt.

OP is all talk anyway. He's just currently obsessed with drifting and wants to talk about drifting. Drift.

They're not going to let you use the lot for an event.
WHY HAVE TO THREADS WITH THE SAME TOPIC?

honest input... parking lots will most likely not be big enough for advance drivers, good for small "play pins" to work on basics of figure 8's and controlled donuts but usully out grow that after your first or second time out... ultimate goal i would say would be 3 play pins and you need 1 or 2 track layouts for learning link moves and scrubbing speed...good idea but as stated above insurance and legal part would be alot, also noise levels can be a huge deal... best of luck
