Argh.
Well it's nice out, I'm running errands and decide to take the long way to the Cheseapeake Municipal Center (which was one of my stops). So I'm cruising down Mt Pleasant, turn onto Battlefield and continue. Then I see lights. Whoops.

64 in a 45.

Honestly didn't know I was going that fast, I thought it was 50 at least, but nope. I JUST had a big ticket this summer that I was lucky to get out of in court, but man I definitely can't afford another (with court & lawyer costs, regardless of getting out of the actual ticket). I don't say anything except mumble a pathetic "I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was going so fast." Officer Renaud takes my license and comes back... gives me a warning. And he suggests that I get my car calibrated because a buddy of his that works at the Ford plant says that most recently built Fords aren't calibrated at the factory and are about 8-9 miles over to begin with. So local police have been told to not pull anyone that is doing within that. I don't know what's true or not, but the moral of the story is.... I got REALLY lucky and drove home with pretty slow. haha

I'm VERY happy right now, I called SignfcntOthr right after it happened and my hands were still shaking haha. He's like "you lucky bitch" or something to that extent.

I just figured I'd let people see that not all cops are dicks, and he was just doing his job and apparently having as good a day as I was to be so nice!

no shit.. if that was me i would have had atleast 3 cars there.. everytime i get pulled over i have atleast 3 of chesapeake finest pull up. and guess what i have NO moving violations or tickets. i always get pulled for stupid shit.
