When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.

And now my life has changed in oh so many ways,
My independence seems to vanish in the haze.

Sounds like you broke or severely bent a rod and its causing it to lock the crank.
If it didn't damage the block you can probably salvage it. But I can pretty much bet your going to need a new crank, rod and perhaps a piston if it didn't warp the at the wrist pin.
You will have to pull the motor regardless.
