Help/Advice on Home Insulation work
I have to re do the Insulation in the attic of my home, and ive decided to do it my self as it will save some money. The problem i have come across now is that the old insulation is so old its basically broke down into large dust cluster fucks in section hence why its so dusty in my home. Does any one have a suggestion to to remove it or know of some one that does some kind of cleaning/removal service for that at a reasonable price?

Re: Help/Advice on Home Insulation work
I do insulation ALL the time in my line of work
what do you mean by "dusty"?...like, the paper backing is just really old and it's all crumbling into tiny pieces? or the insulation is so old that it's stringy/ tears into handfulls when trying to pull it??
Either way, you can use a Shope vac., take the filter out, and suck it all up, orr, before you start tearing down more(if it's not already all down), go to Home Depot, go to the Paint Section, they have rolls of plastic, buy one, lay it out in the attic and open it up, cut it to a decent size, and just lay it on there and put it in some garbage bags
If you don't want to deal with it, just let me know, i could always use some sidework.

You go into the attic and everything is 10 inches deep with blow-in, yeah. This is the fourth place we've lived with that shit in it.

Thats a little excessive, lol. Yeah, for the "floor", if you will, of attics, 90% of the houses i go in are all Blow-In. You barely touch the stuff and you have a 20' dust cloud of Fiberglas
