Toppings should go on the bottom, or more specifically, nestled between the base layer and top layer of cheese. And, imo, making pizza at home is silly. Most home ovens can't get hot enough, and even with a pizza stone, results just can be hrmmm. Change your life, make a pizza on the grill.
