How bad is HRBT traffic on Friday ~8pm?
I'm heading to Kiptopeke with the camper on Friday and am trying to decide the best route. I usually leave much earlier so that we can be settled into the site by 4 but that's not an option this time. My wife suddenly can't get off work early so we won't be able to leave Richmond until ~6pm. If I take 64, I thinking that should put me at HRBT around 8-ish. What kind of traffic will I be getting myself into?
The alternative is to take 460 but I know that will put me at Kiptopeke after 9pm and I'll have to setup the camper in the dark, then likely have to fix it right the next morning. Not a big deal, but would rather get right to enjoying time with my family.
Any advice?

It won't be bumper-to-bumper (unless there's an accident) at 8 PM.
So just keep an ear/eye on the traffic situation, if there's more than a few mile backup, bail.

Just make SURE you're there before 9pm.. on weekends they do road work on the tunnel from 9pm-5am and shut it down to 1 lane.. which causes hysterics with the people around here who can't drive.

I'll be pulling a 32' camper so my options for bailing are limited. Would you suggest bailing out at 664 and getting back over to 64 to get to the CBBT?

FUCK 64 I would always take 664
664/64 split to North Hampton Blvd on 64 is 21 mins with zero traffic ( which is NOT the case 95% of the time on 64)
664/64 split to North Hampton Blvd on 664 is 39 mins with zero traffic (which is the case 95% of the time at 8pm)
664 is all around a better road anyway.
