HOWDY!

Re: HOWDY!
People didnt mature and the police didnt wisen. If anything it went the other way. People got dumber and the police just watched and waited. Example I564.
I think the big reason for the scene dieing around here is becuase of the lack of real decent run spots, the interstate is just stupid, and all the other back roads are at best crap. The cops know this, the cities know this. I do miss the days when there were 100+ people standing around watching 30-40 people race on some back road that was about a 1/2 mile long or so. I know I probly wont find that around here, kinda like the rave scene here, its at best dead too. All in all for a military town, this place is just dead.

No, people just didn't out out as much so it ended up diein down.. 564 is a bad exmaple because it was f'n retarded. That was nothing like it used to be.

Re: HOWDY!
564 was stupid. Yes, I went alot. But, that spot has been there for but so many years. Some people either matured, or just gave up on the whole street racing thing. 564 was just waiting to be busted.

jay-i'm near corpus.
yeah. there are lots of domestic and Supra owners (haven't seen them yet) about, but the vast majority aren't ready yet! the domestic crowd seems to be holding it down around here. besides, everyone who knows me knows that i could give a rat's ass less about the 'street scene'. gimme a road course/twisties anyday!

Re: HOWDY!
off roading is pretty interesting...i haven't gone yet, but i am finding all of the places! seems people are beginning to crack-down on people getting on their private property. there ARE some mountains/hills nearby that i'd like to check-out as well as some beaches i'd like to cruise!
