Please help me raise money to participate in the Polar Plunge. This really is for a good cause. Here is an excerpt from their site explaining what it is all about...

"Special Olympics Virginia is preparing for a record 3,000 thrill-seekers who will be braving the chilly Atlantic Ocean wearing nothing but swimsuits or costumes at its 14th Annual Polar Plunge Winter Festival on Saturday, February 4th, 2006 between 6th and 8th streets at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

With a record number of plungers, the event’s beneficiary Special Olympics Virginia hopes to raise a record amount. Since 1993 almost 14,000 plungers have raised more than $2 million for Special Olympics Virginia. The gates to the Winter Festival on the beach will open at 10:00 am, with the PLUNGE scheduled for 2:30pm."

damn, I planned on taking part as well but I didnt know I had to raise $50.

It really isn't that hard to raise $50. You just have to hit up everyone you see.

 

I was thinking of doing this... but then I thought... how much it's gonna suck being in a bathing suit in Feb.

 

I would be more concerned with how it is going to feel when that ice cold water comes in contact with my body.

 

If it stays how its been lately it will probably be 70 degrees that day.
