Re: I found a pothole (well more like a crater) Need some help
Dude that sucks! I know this guy I worked with at Animal Jungle back in high school drove an xB and he had TRD wheels. He hit a pot hole one day and it fucked his wheel up, he contacted the city and they payed for a new wheel and tire. It took a little while for them to do it but they did pay for it.
As far as I'm concerned its the fucking city's responsibility to take care of the roads (isn't that where our ticket money goes?), it pisses me off enough when you have to drive through debris from road construction/whatever that gives you flat tires...I am not sure how I'd handle something like this calmly.

You can buy my S2000
That sucks Kris, shit happens though, right?
Call the city for sure.
I'd also put stock suspension on the car, before an adjuster came out.

Oh yeah. I forget that other cars don't use the Mercedes 4 piece unibody.
Your insurance I imagine would cover some of it...either fix it or total the car. You should at least try.

I would go about trying to get the city/county to pay for it too. I bent a wheel a few years back and talked to the city about it. I think I was supposed to get more info on the pothole and pictures, but I never got back to them cause everyone I work with rediculed me for thinking the city/county would pay for it. The sad part is that they probably would have paid for it.
Some will say it's your fault, but IMO it can't always be your own fault. When I hit the pothole I hit, there was traffic in front of me and beside me. When the car in front passed over the pothole we were going 60mph, there is no possible way I could have come to a dead stop before hitting that pothole and if I had swerved to the right I would have hit a curb and to the left I would have hit another vehicle.
IMO we pay for the roads, so if they aren't kept up and cause damage to our cars, we should get compensated for it since we already paid for the road to be in good shape.

Holy shit, just got back from the pothole viewing.
Well, there is no white line, and it's just a huge chunk of road surface missing. Couldn't stop to get any good pics, there were cars behind us, and it's a dangerous spot to park.
I think I may have something here.
