Default I Need Help With Carbureted Engine Issues.

I have a 1990 suburban with a older Carbureted 454 in it and it's not running right. I was wondering if anyone knows carbureted engines well enough to swing by and give it a diagnoses. Or if anyone know of a local carburetor shop.
Thanks

Take it to southern Kia and tell them you want Jeremy to look at it.

Define "not running right."

Idle?
Acceleration?
Bogging?

Fires up and sounds like it idles fine.. After it warms up fully and I put it in gear and give it some gas it has slow acceleration and bogs and almost stalls.. And gets vapor lock once it warms up..

Sounds like its flooding.

Honestly replace the carb entirely.

I had the same symptoms on an old Ford, turned out to be a $3 fuel filter.

honestly if you have a vacuum gauge it is easy to diagnose. needs to be adjusted to get the max vacuum at idle. then drop it in gear and see what vacuum you are pulling. is it the OE carb? probably a Rochester I am guessing. for like $30 you can get a rebuild kit and solve what is ailing it. that is a lot cheaper than a new $300 carb. they aren't hard to rebuild either.

if you go the new route a edelbrock performer is extremely easy to tune and modify. you can get them fairly cheap used.

hope this helps.

honestly just sounds like it needs a good tune.
