The part Brian forgot to mention was that the officer invited himself into the house. While inside he (the officer) came to the conclusion that Brian had to be gay. There would be no other way to explain the interior decorations. So he (the officer) told Brian that he could keep his clean record if his head giving skills were up to par. Obviously they were.
