It's a butcher. As fresh as you're going to get it.

It's not like the mother fucker goes out to the dismal swamp, kills and alligator and packages it for you.

Edit: he also carries grassfed beef (by far the best I've had) and free range chicken. Most of it cheaper than any store here.

As far as meat in Newport News goes i highly recommend Game's Farmers Market on Harpersville.

Nothing exotic, but the best cuts of pork and beef around. And they'll cut it up how you want too.

It's the only place around here i've ever seen the whole pigs head for sale.

Just be warned the soul food crowd packs the place on Sundays.

I agree thats the only place i get hamburger, steaks and pork chops from decent prices to even if they did go up bc of rising gas prices
