not really, but only when compared to "stockish" b-series swaps. a heavily modded b will definatly make more power then a fully build d.

You could piece together a bseries setup in a couple months just on the classifieds here. I'd say if you want to "compete with tuners" and have no money you are fuct.

I'd say if you do it, B18 vtec at least but you'd still get killed by most the shit around. Base hp for cars nowadays is insane IMO.

K20 swaps are really expensive. The the motor itself cost about $4000. Mounts,axles,ECU, Harness, etc... cost about $2000. And labor, that all depends on who installs the motor.

i THINK hmotors sells a complete k20a2 for 4grand, shipping costs around 200-400. my friend eric said he'll drop it in for 800, so 5g's(or close to) should take care of me,right? if not i could go type r but....

Taking out a loan on a swap doesn't sound like too hot of an idea. If you have to take out a loan, get a new car that performs as you'd like it to.

If this is your DD and it runs good, leave it the hell alone. Get a beater car to mess around with...
