Use to live at 73rd W and Columbus, can give you a lot of places to check out. You know where I am at in NOVA/DC, if you wanna break the trip up, you are welcome to crash.

hmmm i WISH you could wait till september...i'm heading back home (shit hole northern new jersey, but literally 15min outside of nyc) to visit the fam. pm with any questions you have i'll be happy to help you out point you in the right direction. alot has changed since i left but i'm pretty sure all the bars/clubs are still popular.
ps.
i suggest staying somewhere in jersey (hoboken would be ideal). in theory it should be cheaper then nyc and you could literally walk outside of your hotel and take the ferry into nyc. hoboken is just as rad as new york in my opinion if your just vacationing.
