I just started Judo at the Kempscille Rec past night. You guys should come out.

where is that exactly and how much ? do you have to wear a gi ?

oh yeah and one more thing, why judo? i remember you looking for mma classes earlier on in the year, i like judo and all but its still too tournament based for me, unless its old school judo where there was jiu jitsu in it. i still think of it as judos jiu jitsus little brother. as you can tell i went with jiu jitsu, not to sound like a tool or anything but something about the science of killing people with your bare hands haha ( i apologize if i sound like a tool x20) i think is kinda cool. in our classes we do some judo throws but it would be nice to know more oh yeah and also i do "nogi" jiu jitsu. i hate wearing the gi, i just thought it would help more in real life. but yeah i would be interested in going with you just let me know the details

It's Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7-9pm. Free with Rec Center membership. You do have to wear a gi, but it IS judo so your gi is an instrumental part of it. I wrestled in HS and I find judo to be very similar. However, you can't just overpower your opponent, technique IS vital. The thing I like about it is that there is alot of ground work, much more than I was expecting. Chokes, armbars, etc.

I can't see spending $100+ dollars/month for jiu-jitsu when you can take Judo for free. And as far as the "little brother" statment, are you aware jiu-jitsu is a martial art that came from judo?
