Seriously, I'd say get yourself a lawyer and hope for the best.

I wouldn't necessarily say the dyno is off. Alot of different things can affect your speedometer. Large potholes for example. The age of the car too. The speedometer on my 98 LS is off by about 4-5mph and it's rolling on stock tires and rims. You have a '94(I'm assuming this is the same car you got the reckless ticket in), so I imagine that age is going to be a factor as well.
To Drifta: Good luck with your court date. Might wanna excercise a little more caution for a while, and slow down a bit. It took $1100+ for me to learn that lesson.

Nah no need to damage your car. Chances are it's off any way. How old is your car? My ticket was in Va beach and I was **Written** for 85 in a 45(My dumbass was racing down Independance). I imagine that since you're in a different district they may be a little different about it. Hopefully they are a little more lenient about it. Although the cop did"Give me a brake" by just giving me a reckless driving instead of towing my car and puttin' me in the pokey! Good luck though. The total actually came out to $1133 with the cost of the lawyer, the fine, and court costs. My freaking lawyer cost me more than anything though. $500 for the first time and $250 for the appeal(I'm not goin' to jail for nobody). $400 dollar fine which was suspended to $300+another $83 court cost. On top of that I've got a 90 jail sentence if I screw up before May2nd(Crossing fingers now). I hope it doesn't run you as high. Oh yeah! Make sure your lawyer isn't prego! She was late to both court dates! The guy that I raced got it worse though cuz he didn't show up.

I drive a 96 Stratus...94MazdaMX-3, how did you get it down to a faulty equipment charge? Did you just plea not guilty and have you lawyer argue it or something? Tell me how it went because I'm going to try to do that.
