Review: Premiere Norfolk
Well guys, here is the review I have for the club, and the show this evening.
Club:
Very nice in appearance. Good size, tastefully decorated, and SMOKE-FREE.
Bars:
Good selection (in my opinion) of top-shelf liquors, but the bartenders didn't give much of it out when they mixed stuff up, which was unfortunate. Prices were not too bad, but they went up as the night went on (early promotional pricing perhaps?).
Show for 6/23:
The opening DJ (do not know his name) was decent in terms of his skill, but he got to be pretty boring after about the first 30 minutes due to the fact that he really didn't change his BPM but once or twice, and then it didn't change much. DJ Mea was hot to say the least, and had the beginnings of a great show, but about 5 minutes into her set, the fire alarm went off. Oddly enough, nobody went for the doors, and she kept right on playing, but then the lights came on while the staff was searching for the problem. She stopped playing until they got it shut off, then she restarted. Unfortunately, the staff left the lights on for some reason, and then about 10 minutes later the power went out. The power was out for about 30 minutes, which pretty much ruined her show. Most people stuck around though, and she was able to recover from it pretty well, but I was very tired after sitting through the outage, and came home after listening to another 15 minutes or so.
Despite the problems in today's show, I will come back to give it another chance, and hopefully they will have the kinks worked out.

Thanks DC/DC for the review, I was wondering how it went last night.
I never made it out, I was a Keegans in towncenter watching the game and just was having too good a time to head down that way..
The opening DJ was David Michael, I have met him a few times and hes decent, he can beat match thats about it.
Hopefully on Friday and Saturday nights the cover isnt 20 bucks with no big name talent on the wheels. I might stop by on Saturday to see, but I probably wont stop by that place until a big name comes through town..

Re: Review: Premiere Norfolk
my coworker just came in and gave me the exact story, except he was telling me that the place was pretty much packed and the ladies were out in full effect..
He was telling me that the sound was ok, but since its set up as a theater that the sound sounded good near the back and on the floor but in the center it was not very good. He also said that alot of crowd noise was coming up and made the sound a little washed out. He is used to sound systems like Space Miami and Crowbar NYC, so he is a little stuck up about sound hehe.

I had a decent time, but the power being out and the emergency lights being on for a good half hour was QUITE the buzz kill. The ladies were nice, the drinks were reasonably priced, but like Dan said, kinda weak.
Here are a couple shitty cell phone pictures, but you get the jist of it.

Power problems at a night club?
I predict a deadly eletrical fire within 3 months.
I like the look, though. I might have to go check that place out.
