My lease is up in August and my current roommate is moving to Richmond. I'm currently living near the Jefferson/Denbigh Intersection in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. I have the option to renew my contract, but I'm willing to move out if I need.

If I stay:
My roommate is taking a good deal of furniture with him, but I'm looking to replace that ASAP. I pay $500 a month everything included, I have A/C, heat, Internet, washer and dryer, and a complete kitchen. Also have a cat, but she just sleeps on my bed all day like a fat ass and costs me money. I don't care if you're a guy or a girl, I don't care if you smoke, so long as it's outside, and I don't care if you have a cat or a caged animal, but my cat hates dogs.

If I go:
I'll be looking to pay the same monthly rent ($500), but I'm easily capable of bumping up to $700. I'd like to stay in the same general area because of my job, friends and so on.

I'm a 19 year old guy, I do 19 year old things. I work most of the day, and I'm looking to bump my hours up soon. I have a girlfriend, and she spends a good deal of her free time with me. I enjoy cars, good music, and I'm super clean.

Honestly?

Don't think my cat would care. You cannot even begin to image the laziness of this fat cat. The only time it moves relatively quick is when - you guessed it - she gets fed.

i like to wake up and scream at the top of my lungs several times a night to clear the flem from my trachea--will this be an issue? I'm also neurotically OCD about even numbers, so we'll have to do some rearranging of furniture, pictures, floor tiles, ceiling tiles, etc.

When in August is your lease up? My current lease is up August 28th, and myself and my best friend are going to be looking for somewhere else to move, and have tossed around the idea about finding a third roommate. Obviously, this would be pending no personality conflicts. I'm 24, he is 22. I do have a dog though.

My lease is up mid-August, I'll have to find the paperwork to find which day exactly. And I agree with the conflict point.

And I really don't think my cat would care all that much. Stick her in my room and we're golden. Unless your dog can open doors. LMK
