word! i have a couple spots in mind. the main one being ...
BLAKELY'S in Chespeake. On battlefied. near Great Bridge High.
What does everyone think about it?
NEGATIVES:
- Far Drive (15-20 minutes)
- Reputation (I've heard a lil about the club/ not 2 bad/ but the event will be during the daytime, so would it really matter????)
- limited parking (they might have to valet parking b/c space is big , but not to big)
POSITIVES:
-AWESOME (One of the biggggest in VA . / Layout is similar to the abyss, has a 2nd floor where you can look down onto the dance floor, with dj on top. / And it also has a stage / and a VIP section.
- GREAT SOUND SYSTEM
- A LOT OF SPACE TO DANCE AND SEE THE COMPETITION
- GOOD LAYOUT FOR VENDORS / SKATE & CAR EXPO (OUTSIDE)
- OWNER SEEMS PRETTY COOL AND SUPPORTIVE
- THEY SERVE ALCOHOL ON THE 2ND FLOOR. FOR ALL YOU FEINS! =)
I need all your criticism and input, b/c the event isn't to please me. It's to please everyone on the 7cities and the out of towners. Mind you, I've thrown jams in Norfolk, VA beach, I'd like to expand and give love to the other cities.

if you can keep it in norfolk / vb. even better. but if finding a perfect big venue for the perfect price in this area is an issue. go with chesapeake. fuk it. I think the norva charges $5000. convention center, gyms, etc. charge $1000's too. plus sound sucks. i don't know.
i'm still goin...

the dedicated might go, but as most business/marketing people know, the dedicated usually represent a small portion of the income at events. Passers-by, friends of friends, family, and just random people bring the most money.
