Why the Bold "S"? Look it up. It's a 1997 Porsche 911 Turbo S. My father's a German car nut. It's basically a '97 turbo with a better interior, a slight bump in hp (20-30) and some other fancy little upgrades. It's less fun because it's more refined. It is way faster and will circle a race track far faster then an S2000 but because of it's added refinement it's just not as "fun" to drive. S2000s feel like go-carts. They're fun to the point that it almost feels like it shouldn't be street legal. I don't have one anymore so I'm not trying to "talk my car up" or anything. They're just really really fun cars.

Nice car, I like the way they look. But as far as bang for the buck it doesn't get any better than a 04 Cobra. You can get a coupe if you know the right deals for around $31k and run 12's all day stock.

In its class, the S2000 is an unbelievable deal. It outperforms the Z4, the Boxster, and the SLK. And it's 10 grand less than the next cheapest of the group.

Why do people always compare Cobras to S2000s? Apples and oranges people, apples and oranges.

And since when is $31K a good price for 12s? That is NOT bang for the buck

Yes, I do know it is a far superior deal compared to the SLK, Z4, and Boxster, not to mention the S2K has them all beat in looks as well. I know $31k is a lot for 12's, but I'm talking about a new car, not something used or something you can make go in the 12's for 10 grand. With the Cobra you have a warranty and quickness, which are two things that you can't always get together. And besides don't take this the wrong way but is a S2K for $32k worth it's high 13's? No, people buy it for looks, Honda loyalty, or they just love it. It's all a matter of opinion, I love the S2K's looks and it's performance is good, all I'm saying is that I would take the that Cobra runs 12's and have a full warranty.

But as far as bang for the buck, compare the Cobra to Corvette or others that are just as fast or a little faster and cost $12-20k more
