Need to get my calibration done. Suggestions? I tried looking it up but it keeps pulling up the place off Va beach blvd. Which i was told by my lawyer not to go to.

Your lawyer probably told you to avoid the va bch place because they're known for some shady stuff over the years. I went over there to get my speedo calibrated years ago when I got a 86/55 (reckless) ticket in new kent county.

BTW, some people have even been known to go through the trouble of installing taller tires on their car, to tweak the speedo calibration to their benefit! I guess it depends on how serious your ticket is.

Theres another place on tilden ave. off battlefield that does them, think the names like chesapeake calibration or something. got mine done there about a year ago, no problems.

How much does something like this cost?

I want to do mine because I think it is off. How do they go about correcting it?

calibration was $39.95 ($42.95 w/taxes)

seems like thats the going rate anywhere around here.

Calibration itself, i'm not sure how and what is done.

they don't actually correct it...they put your car on rollers, looks similar to an inground dyno, and slowly increase the speed, measuring actual speed, and the speedometer at 10mph intervals.

then they print out a sheet comparing your actual speed to what your speedo says.
