Trapster in the 757
I recently got an Iphone and I've been looking for truely useful apps and I found Trapster. Since radar detectors are illegal in VA this is the next best thing. It uses the gps in your phone to automatically notify you where all the redlight cameras, speed traps, and cop hiding places are. I've looked through the map of the 757 and it is pretty inclusive, it has every spot I can ever think of seeing a cop hide anywhere in town and it gives you an audio warning as you come up to them. It is worth a look, you can also easily with one touch of your iphone add additional locations on the fly. I don't usually post up stuff like this, but I think this might help alot of you out there.
If all of us start using this thing it will get harder and harder to get good hiding places.

Its legal and free, just check it out guys.

Re: Trapster in the 757
come on now, we shouldn't fear police. I've been pulled over countless times and allways been polite to the officer and that goes a long way. Civilians have some rights even if it is VA and disclosure like this keeps police honest and is completely legal, even if it wasn't legal how the hell would they enforce it, the website has an discreet post feature which doesn't keep track of any of your PI.

Re: Trapster in the 757
I've been going through and making sure all of the traps I know of are in there. I suggest everyone else do the same, if we all work together this could be very useful to us. I've also confirmed every speed trap that I can to raise their status. If you set the notification distance as 1/4 mile or less it is pretty nice, anything more than that it is just annoying, unless you are on the interstate most of the time, then you want 1/2 mile or more.
