VB: Sound decibel meters in effect
Just wanting to give everybody a heads up that sometime soon the VBPD will start carrying decibel meters in their cars and will write tickets for excess noise. These meters will measure dB, but will be writing tickets for dB(A) exceeding a certain level. I'm not sure when they're going to start implementing them, but it's sounding like it'll be soon.

Yep. At least now they can enforce the law based on the actual law. Citing someone for a loud exhaust used to be the equivalent of citing someone for speeding without a radar gun because they looked like they were going too fast.

Would this mean that an asshole cop would ticket someone who happens to have an F50 and has to slightly open it up for some reason.
