I live in NOVA and the only places I know that are very legitimate are in Baltimore
DOCS pipe shop, For PLay, and FIre FLy
Fire Fly being the best
DOCS being the most expensive but also having some really nice pieces

Not a glass shop exactly. It's a shop that teaches glass blowing.
Not sure how far you are from MD, but there's also http://www.accentsglassworks.com/ in Rockville, MD. I have taught a few classes there. I'll be back up there later this year teaching again.

Just a little FYI, when you walk in, you have to ask for the glass. Its not out in the open like you would think, its in a back room that they take you in after they ID you. Pretty neat if you ask me.
