Re: Water in Va Beach
if its white there's a possibility there is air in your water lines. i had that problem when the city replaced a water line down the street from me. when they replaced my waterline however i had brown water for about a day until my hot water heater cleared up. if i were you i'd call the water company and complain. you might get a few bucks outta the deal if theyve done work recently and are feeding you nasty water!

Nope. I haven't noticed any white water at all, and I live right around the corner. I have noticed that we do have some really hard water over here and my shower has a nice reddish brown tinge to it.

Re: Water in Va Beach
I've definitely noticed it both at my house, and at my wife's Salon. Most of the time, it's when you first use the sink after having not used it for a whole night or at least several hours. So I always think it's either just really cold water (which appears white?), there's air in the lines, or the sediment gathers and comes out when you first turn it on. Within about a minute or so, it's clear and back to normal. I still think twice before drinking straight from the tap though (even though I end up drinking it anyhow).
