I checked there the other day, all they had was 3" stuff and reducers. Not what I need.

no... they carry couplers all the way up to i believe 3.5 inches. for drainage piping for sump pump for basements or run off pipes for washing machines i bought mine for 2 for ten bucks for my civic and the come with clamps and everything...

They're not reinforced or high heat capable like the automotive grade shit. Might work ok for an intake, but they expand and break under boost. My Jetta is pushing over 25psi, I'm pretty sure one of those Lowes couplers would exploded within the first minute of driving.

no i had them on my intercooler but no where near the turbo. so no chance of melting at all. those were a lost resort if anything.. im in the middle of illinois and having a civic isnt then grip to be having if you know what i mean.

Hamptons roads rubber sells the triple ply couplers and t bolt clamps in all sizes for a decent price. I believe they are located in norfolk, right near military highway.
