not completely off topic, but i have a 01 golf with 17x8 245/45/17 et42 (pretty sure)...how much of a spacer should i go with in the rear?

im waiting for my friend to send new ones since i took the rear adjustable perches out and cut the bumpstops in the rear, so its down another 1/2" or so...

ill see if i can get them when i get off work

WTF are you running such a big tire in the rear?

run a 205 45 and push your final ET to 7. so i'd go with a 35mm spacer.

i had 205's on it before but my skidplate hit EVERYTHING and i drive 60 miles a day (and tdi's dont like their oilpands to break) so i put stock sized on a 1" wider wheel and it gives me just enough to not scrape anything going from va beach to NN everyday

in plus, my speedo is dead on now
