he must be referring to the sensor. That is the only thing I can make logic with. If that is the case I bet I know what two plugs are flipped

I am getting this from another website
Low oil pressure/level, and failed vtec solenoid would be the 2 most common culprits. Another would be no speed signal going to the ECU, but I believe that would trigger a check engine light.

vtec wont engage if the coolant temp sensor failed. which would explain why the car isnt "warming up". I assume you mean that the coolant gauge stays at cold all the time. change the sensor and try again
