I rev to 7,500, and its more than enough on the street. Sure I can rev it to 8,500-9k but i wont be making any more noticeable power. Why risk fucking something up?

This is why a lot of people I know with vtec setups have transmission issues, its because they are revving stock transmissions to 9k on the daily, shit is bound to happen. I love the fact that ive never had a transmission issue, il stick to low-revving ls motors ftw!
people have transmission issues because they do not know how to drive. i have ran a 10.99@126.28 on 15lbs with a completely stock gsr tranny and stock axles. and i think i made about 10 passes that night, along with about 20 others at that level, shifting at 9200-9800 and launching at 6500
