Indeed, if the city sees you trying to come after them they know they can just blow you off. But if they see that fat claim from your insurance company well, let's just say your chances are much better.

you can sue for other stuff too to get more money out of them and buy yourself a nice new car. you have 7 years to develop any "complications" from the accedent and go after them.

my mom got sideswiped by a city trash truck and skidded across the highway. thankfully she was safe, but it took a month for the check. hopefully youll get yours quicker.
