Re: Dodge Kills Off Caliber SRT4
I said Dodge because I was referring to the SRT-4. According to this the 500 is getting built in Mexcio, and there will probably be a similar Chrysler car, so we could be wrong about that.
As far as the Abarth "coming over", last word out of Fiat was that it would be sold here by 2011.

Think of it this way, do you think Chrysler could have sold an SRT4 neon AND an SRT4 calibur at the same time, even if one was badged a plymouth and one was badged a dodge? One of them would have went either way.....
LOL..... it's only 8% ownership for the gov., but ownership none-the-less.

Re: Dodge Kills Off Caliber SRT4
I know they are dropping ideas about selling a similar car, but they won't. This type of car applys to a niche market, it will be hard enough to market a car like this by itself, it will be twice as hard with a comparable vehicle under the same roof. Take the pontiac solstice and the saturn sky for example. The solstice debuted one year before the sky. When the sky came out, sales of the solstice dropped 19% for that year, even though the solstice was a couple grand cheaper. This is probally one of the reasons GM decided a solstice coupe would be a good idea.

In the past, the Cobalt SS sedans came with the 2.4L LE5 engine, but the newer Cobalt SS sedans (2009+) have the same turbocharged 260hp LNF powerplant as the coupes.

The Cobalt SS sedan actually beat out the WRX and the Mazdaspeed 3 in multiple comparisons, and was the only one that came from the factory with Brembos, AND ran the fastest Nurenburg loop time out of the 3.
