Re: Dodge Viper 1992-2010
A good example of them trying to lean away from the not so friendly DD to more comfortable DD is when they switched body styles and added floor vents. One complaint about the older vipers were no floor vents to suppress the heat from tunnel.
I really hope Viper sticks around. It's basically an American exotic. I put the Viper in the category of Ford GT, not Corvette. It'd be too much to ask for them to come out with something totally new and comparable to the Corvette or even Camaro. Then again... I'd hate to see another Prowler
...and there is no "t" in Chrysler

My two cents.

IDGAF, it was the one mainstream domestic exotic we had left, and Dodge is extinguishing it. From a dollars and cents standpoint, I would think it would make more sense to kill off the shitbox Dodges that no one cares about, let alone buys. (Seriously, have you ever driven a Caliber SRT-4? It combines all the shittiness of a normal Caliber, then goes on to show you that the chassis is completely overwhelmed by the power! WTF Dodge?) Then have Dodge focus solely on building trucks, sedans, and a few better performance vehicles.
My two cents.

Not all Viper owners are cocky pricks who think their cars are god's gift to earth ..
But that sucks though, kinda makes me wonder when Lamborghini will cease producing Gallardos

Sure, when it was in production.
I suppose you could call the ZR1 a domestic exotic, but I think the pricetag is nearly as ridiculous as that idiotic GT500KR thing.
To me, the Viper was the last remaining mainstream domestic exotic. The ZR1 and GT500KR variants are just tarted up models. But to each their own.
