take 6k, buy a reliable decent daily. Take the other 40,000+ and spend it after college on a "dope" ride.

Or buy a civic and spend the rest on hookers, drugs and beer (it would be a better investment)

I chose other.

Give me 10 grand to put ITBs, full standalone, and a completely forged light weight de-stroked bottom end so I can rev the LS1 to 8K.

Then buy yourself a 2010 335is.

The $45,000 spent on the car would roughly equate to one year of the total undergraduate tuition at either Drexel or Saint Joseph's. The math looks like this:

$40,000 X 4 = $160,000

$160,000
- $45,000

This is a website for automotive enthusiasts, I didn't post this for a lecture on finances or how spoiled I may be. If that's what you're planning on posting, don't pay any attention to the thread

Even if the parents are paying for gas/maint/insurance, I would still not go for a car that's at the top end of your budget.

IMO get something like a new evo (35-40k), then you'll have breathing room for mods and things. Plus 4 doors, and you wont want to kill yourself every time you break some stupid interior bit. Also, you won't scream "IM A SPOILED DOUCHE" as much as a 2 year old M6/AMG/range rover would. I get plently of that, and im in a decade old 5 series.

Are you talking new here? Cause the CL65 is way more than $45000-$50000 and I'm pretty sure most of the other cars you listed are above that price range new.
Also, don't most colleges and universities don't allow freshmens to drive?

The reason I ask is because the CL65 is the only luxury car you listed IMO and the maintenance on a 65 is probably higher than you would expect.

They most likely would be paying for both maintenance and insurance unless I land a job at the Springfield Volkswagen dealership, then I would pay for a portion of the expenses. And I've heard some pretty terrible things about the CL65's reliability, but the thought of 604 horsepower is awesome.

I hope the thought of never passing a gas station is awesome to you also...

I'm just telling you from my personal experience. Freinds/Girls get in your car and do dumb things, like not holding their booze driving back from a trip to william and mary.

If my friend puked in a 07 M6, I would be in prision.
