HAHA, it has the displacment of a average domestic V6 and makes far more HP than any V8 domestic car on the market right now. And probably still gets 10 extra MPG

The low torque is because its a damn 4.0L, the high HP is because of whatever they did to the heads
if they wanted torque they would've done like everyone else and used a 5.4L-7.0L block, and added a good hundred or more pounds to the car
I'm impressed, 590hp out of a 4.0L is some magical intake/head work.
