30 fine 44 dollars for a court fee.
is it your first offense? if so go to court and plead no contest and you'll get it dropped. my advice, take whatever he can give you to not be charged. if he says comm service and fines take it. anything is worse than getting it on your record...

"just pay the fine because if you go to court you will have to pay an extra $42 for court costs. also, any moving violation affects insurance."
....mmm i wouldnt agree with you on that, you still have to pay court fees' even if you dont appear in court. legally its just a minor traffic violation and if its a first offence he will just say " are you going to do it again" and then you say "no sir" and shut up and then you will probably get com service and a fine and it will get dismissed...it will still be there if someone looks but it wont say gulity it will just said that the charge was dropped. if you send your money in your just admiting that your guilty and dont really care about what goes on your record.

Basically it's a CYA charge. They don't know what it is or want to add some more charges ... put a wreckless. It almost always gets knocked down at trial though.
At least that's what I've been told.
