Honestly I say vette too, but that's not an option... so I say vette, or if you must have one of your options....Evo.

You can have a very good, fun and reliable dd and track car w/ some bolt ons.
thats exactly what I am looking for, something I can drive on the road occasionally but something I can also track/drag when I want to. Do you think the TT or the SC set-up would be over-kill? What kind of cost figures are invloved?

Yea, it all depends what your after. If you were gonna go that route, id try and pick up a mach 1, you get a solid axle, the upgrade brakes, and still have a 4v.

Fixed it for you. It Appears "Vette" is off to a commanding lead too.

A vortech for a c6 is about 6k.

TT and Heads/cam can be overkill for sure, if you intend on DDing it, but you can do just a mild cam and other bolt ons and have it be very docile and fun to drive. Honestly, just headers/exhaust/ram air intake and tune would be fine. That makes for a very fun car and you probably wouldn't be able to push it to full potential around a road course anyway.

I'd rather have a c5 vette with bolt ons over any of the options you have. Seriously. My c5 was a lot of fun with just exhaust and intake. 341whp/356wtq went 12.4 and was a blast to drive on the streets too. I am starting to wish I'd have just kept it all along. lol

Hard choice, I'd go for the built 240 or an Evo, but that's just me.

Something to think about, 03/04 cobra anywere from about 16-21k for a decent one, Same year gt around 10k, It will cost atleast another 8k to build the motor and decent trans. The cobra all ready comes with both of those. If your going to spend that kinda of money it would be cheaper just to buy the cobra to begin with, and the gt is still going to be a 2v. I would say a Cobra or a c6 would be the best choice
